Taco Bake

Ingredients (makes 4-6 servings):

  • 1 lb. 95% lean ground beef

  • 2 cups of diced red & green bell peppers

  • 1 TBSP @fourthandheart California garlic ghee

  • 1/2 can (14 ounces) Pastene tomato sauce

  • 1 cup brown rice, cooked

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 TBSP of @sietefoods hot sauce

  • 1 TBSP of homemade taco seasoning (chili powder, oregano, cumin, black pepper, pink salt, smoked paprika)

  • Optional: corn tostadas, guac, salsa

Directions:

  1. In a deep sauté pan over medium heat melt 1 TBSP of California garlic ghee and add ground beef + taco seasoning. Sauté until browned.

  2. Add diced bell pepper and sauté for another 5-7 minutes.

  3. Add tomato sauce + brown rice and mix together.

  4. Stir in 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.

  5. Add mixture to casserole dish and top with remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

  6. Bake for 15 minutes on 350.

  7. Take out and serve as is, or add in some corn tostadas, guac, & salsa
